We held hands for the first time when we were barely three
feet from the ground. We chased each other, frilly frocks swaying and ribbons
flying from our hair. We sat by each other sharing toys and chocolates. Worn
out keds were replaced with high heels and we shared much more- secrets, fears,
aspirations and endless conversations.
During my lowest of lows, the one person who rigidly stands
by me is my best friend who is my family, my teacher and my support. I am grateful
that you are a part of my life and will always be.
